We all know this 80s pattern was made famous by The Memphis Group but created by an Italian designer Ettore Sottsass. This pattern was widely used on everything starting from clothing to album covers in the 80s.
The most exciting thing is that the pattern has gone viral because it seems ‘so familiar’ to people, but no one can remember where it is from. Some people say it is from TV shows such as Saved By The Bell, but others think it is from an album cover like Now That’s What I Call Music. But the secret is not yet revealed.
