The actual font used for the intro and logo of the show is called Gabriel Weiss’ Friends by, of course, Gabriel Weiss. Today, the font itself is free for personal use by anyone and everyone. As an interesting side note, the colorful dots in between the letters were added based on the design by Deborah Naysee.
These iconic dots are actually not included in the font itself but were added to the logo for added visual impact. Evidently, the producers of the show just thought it would make the final logo of the series appear friendlier to the viewers – and we bet they were right!
